Hybrid Media Productions

Print and older broadcast media are far from dead, and digital publishing/production has not fulfilled earlier predictions of revolutionary transformation in the ways in which we create and interact with culture and information. There is an increasing awareness that hybrid models of production are more effective and have more potential for innovation. While transmedia is the hybrid model that has received the most sustained interest, there are a range of hybrid models that are worthy of exploration.  SIPI aims to critically and creatively explore this constantly changing spectrum of hybrid media productions.
